On the 1st of every month at 12:00 am ET we take a snapshot of every rated escape room on Morty.
Each room's loved review count is compared with the previous month's snapshot; the ten biggest gains make the list.
Only open, in-person rooms are eligible — closed, virtual and tabletop games sit this one out.
It's a popularity-plus-quality measure: a room needs both plenty of players that month and for those players to have loved it.
New to the inventory tracks the other end: rooms that crossed our qualifying bar — the same one that earns a room a pin on the world map — for the first time that month, listed best score first.
Risers & fallers are rooms that were already in the inventory a month ago, ranked by how far their Morty score moved since.
